As part of Peebles Cycling Clubs on-going Jubilee celebrations the club is proud to present a series of talks commencing with Mark Beaumont.

Many of you will be familiar with Mark’s story with a string of gruelling endurance cycle records and achievements over 25 years. He holds the record for the fastest circumnavigation of the globe by bike, all 18000 miles of it in an incredible 78 days, 14 hours and 40 minutes. He has held the hour record on a penny farthing, broken the Cairo to Cape town, Africa record and most recently in September 2022 beaten the record for the brutal cycle that is the North Coast 500 in Scotland. This record breaking ride took just 28 hours and 35 minutes giving Mark an incredible average speed of 18.2mph.
