Gravel Biking & Bike Packing
The Tweed Valley and the greater Borders area is a mecca for gravel biking and bike packing.
We have a massive network of forestry, wind farm and drove roads that can be linked up into short rides for a mornings cycling through to multi day adventures taking in many miles and significant climbing. A look at an ordinance survey map supplemented by google maps will reveal this vast network.
The rise of the gravel bike has really opened up these trails and PCC has an active group of riders enjoying exploring all the options and often extending trips into multi day bike packing adventures. With the Southern Upland Way, The Capitol Trail and the Romans and Reivers Route to name a few the opportunities are boundless.
The club will be commencing a series of club social gravel rides over the summer on every other Sunday to avoid clashing with other regular meets. See the club calendar for details.
