PCC Trail Collective (formerly ‘Kids Club’) – 2026

Please sign up on the PCC website – Trail Collective booking – and ensure include your correct emergency contact details and details of any medication the rider is taking. For example, if the rider is asthmatic they MUST carry an inhaler or they can’t participate. If they have recently suffered an injury that could affect their riding, please tell us on the form.
There is guidance on the website of the various levels of the rides – if in doubt please choose an easier group – we can always change the groups in subsequent weeks.
Riders must sign up by Thursday each week for their rider(s) to participate.

Please ensure you double check the bike(s) are safe to ride BEFORE arrive at kids club – as a minimum please check two working brakes, no wobbly front or back wheel and tyres inflated. Always worth putting a little oil on the chain too. If in doubt please pop into a local bike shop to check it out.

Reminder each rider MUST bring a bike helmet, waterproof jacket, snack and water bottle. We recommend full finger gloves – and kneed pads are helpful if you have them.

DROP OFF and PICK UP point: same as before the summer break. Please meet 945am at the Peel Visitor Centre – covered area beside the toilets and on road up to Peel Tower. Parents please don’t leave until leaders have checked the bike. Please pick up rider(s) at 12 noon same location.

*We are aware there have been some enquiries about new riders wanting to join PCC Trail Collective. We will send a note to those parents to invite their kid(s) along for a ride out. However, that will be in a few weeks (date TBC).
Importantly, we are still very short of qualified leaders. If any parent can help and / or is interested in starting the pathway to getting qualified, please do speak to the leaders on a Saturday morning. We can’t run kids club without enough qualified leaders.

A decision will be made every Friday if we are able to run (dependent on sufficient leaders / the weather conditions etc) – if we need to cancel, a note will be posted on this Facebook page.
Look forward to seeing the kids this Saturday – many thanks.
PCC MTB Kids Club

MOUNTAIN BIKE CLUB & Kids Club

PCC are recognised as being at the forefront of MTB development in the borders with many attributing this success to the development and enthusiasm of its youngest members.

Peebles Cycling Club runs an active youth section known as “Trail Collective” with the order of 30 young members (aged 8-16) taken out by qualified leaders every Saturday morning – weather permitting.  Junior members of PCC need to sign up for the year via the membership page.

These groups are organised into levels of ability and meet at Glentress at 9:45 am on a Saturday morning for a 2 hour skills ride around the Glentress trails. Our leaders are all either British Cycling qualified coaches or MBLA Leaders.

Demand for places is always high, with s waiting list that grows by the week. Introducing new riders is based on leader availability, so unfortunately we don’t have a defined waiting list time.
