Investing in your body will pay off not just in the saddle but also in other areas of your life. If you physio mentions that you have to work on your core strength, thoracic spine mobility, shoulder stability, glute activation, better rotation, hip mobility… it is all here! Judyta will include further exercises specific to a cyclist’s body to get you stronger in time for the start of the season.

Why should I do Pilates, I just want to cycle?

Pilates uses strength and control to give your the stretch. Although it is not possible to lengthen muscles (yes, it is your mind that controls it!), by creating more balanced body, you can increase your range of movement and use what you already have more efficiently.

If your body is not stable on the bike, you are loosing energy that could be used by your legs to produce more “free” watts.

Pilates also helps you do keep in a good form towards the end of your long ride when everything starts hurting.

Try it and test it over the 2024 season!
