Hope you all managed to do some cycling over the festive period and maybe already felt some benefits of the 2023 Pilates block. If you have not, do not worry – we are restarting the class next week. And it is not too late to start now!
Classes take place every week from the 11th Jan till the 28th Mar (except for the 7th March) which gives us 11 classes till the clocks change and you all hit the roads or trails in the evenings.

Why should I do Pilates, I just want to cycle?
Pilates uses strength and control to give your the stretch. Although it is not possible to lengthen muscles (yes, it is your mind that controls it!), by creating more balanced body, you can increase your range of movement and use what you already have more efficiently.
If your body is not stable on the bike, you are loosing energy that could be used by your legs to produce more “free” watts.
Pilates also helps you do keep in a good form towards the end of your long ride when everything starts hurting.
