The club, in association with Scottish Cycling, has designed a 12 week road race coaching programme for all PCC Youth & Junior riders. The programme is aimed specifically at preparing those youth riders who would like to race in the 3 Day North West Youth Tour on 29-31 May (http://www.cdnw.org/youth_tour.html). The club is proposing to support a PCC squad at this event, but all with an interest in developing their racing skills are welcome at the training sessions The programme involves a weekly evening session to work on technique and race strategy (day to be confirmed, but probably Thursdays) and a Sunday session to work on fitness. In addition, there are also two training days arranged by Scottish Cycling to which we are invited. The first is on Saturday 6th March at Ingliston (http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/web/site/SCU/roa/sc_road_results_news/20100203_A_Scottish_School_of_Road_Racing.asp)- Youth A & B riders should book a place as soon as possible (closes 23rd Feb) with Mark at British Cycling (). SCU has kindly agreed that we can use the Ingliston facilities at the same time for Youth C & D riders under the guidance of the clubs own qualified coaches. If you are a Youth C or D and are interested in this Ingliston session, please confirm with David Winton () by Saturday 27th February (this Saturday). The second date is Saturday 20th March at the Kelso Showground where there will be races with other clubs in the morning and SCU coach led training sessions in the afternoon.
